Classic Shaker Kitchen for a home extension in Bramhall

  • kitchen extension

Our clients own building company created the kitchen extension for this impressive detached home in Bramhall. Their superb building skills combined with our bespoke kitchen design and build of their Classic kitchen made a winning combination for this fabulous kitchen diner.

“Our Kitchen is all we had hoped for and more! Being the main contractor builder we did our own plumbing and electrics, so Warren and the team could concentrate on making and fitting our beautiful kitchen… Superb. Thank you Handcrafted Kitchens.” – Mr and Mrs J.

The large shaker panelled kitchen island is thoughtfully designed to fulfil a number of functions including a huge area for preparation complete with stainless steel under-mounted sink and dishwasher. It is also a social hub for family and friends to gather around with seating for 4 people and an inbuilt wine cooler and drinks cabinet.

The back wall comprises two Neff ‘Slide and Hide’ ovens together with Neff microwave and coffee machine neatly arranged in a quad design. A large larder cabinet houses tableware in one side of the cabinet and an integrated fridge freezer in the other side. In the middle of the wall a bifold larder sits giving easy access to electrical appliances and food stuffs. A quartz work surface has been inbuilt to provide an additional preparation area which can be easily hidden from sight when required.

A stunning shaker kitchen mantel surrounds the Neff induction hob. Complete with large, wide pan drawers below the hob and cabinets stepping back from the mantel, it really makes a statement as you walk into this kitchen.

You can even dine with Eric Cantona in this kitchen diner, courtesy of the ingenious artist Ed Chapman’s mosaic portrait. We are sure Eric would be honoured to be given pride of place although he may have preferred it if the kitchen island was painted red rather than blue!

A relaxing sea and sky theme runs throughout the kitchen. The kitchen island and feature wall are painted in Farrow and Ball ‘Stiffkey Blue’ which contrasts beautifully with the cabinetry in ‘Manor House Grey’ and oak interiors.

Light floods into the kitchen from the bifold doors leading into the beautiful garden. And entertainment is covered in this kitchen with music from the Sonos speakers and a media centre neatly fitted into a suspended hand made cabinet underneath the television.
